Win a Cane Corso Puppy in Mississippi
Monthly Giveaway from Flavors Cane Corso
Introduction
Flavors Cane Corso runs a monthly nationwide giveaway and Mississippi residents are fully eligible every cycle. One winner. One champion-bloodline Cane Corso puppy. Whether you are in Jackson, Gulfport, Southaven, Hattiesburg, or anywhere else across the state, this is your chance to bring home a genuinely well-bred Cane Corso.
The Cane Corso, pronounced KAH-neh KOR-soh, is an ancient Italian mastiff built for loyalty, protection, and family. At 90 to 130 pounds fully grown, they are physically commanding. What most new owners don’t expect is the emotional depth. These dogs read your household, adapt to your energy, and form bonds most breeds cannot match.
Jackson’s Livingston Park has off-leash areas for the metro community. The Gulf Coast’s Gulfport and Biloxi have beach-accessible areas where dogs can exercise year-round. Hattiesburg’s Chain Park and the growing suburban communities of DeSoto County near Memphis are adding dog park facilities steadily. Why the Cane Corso Fits Mississippi
Mississippi’s values — family, loyalty, protecting your home and your people — are the Cane Corso’s values. From the suburbs of Jackson and the Gulf Coast communities of Gulfport and Biloxi to the agricultural properties that define much of the state, Mississippi dog owners choose breeds that earn their place. The Cane Corso does that through instinct, temperament, and a level of family devotion that Mississippi owners recognize and respect.
Mississippi’s hot, humid climate requires the same management approach as the rest of the Deep South. Air conditioning, morning and evening exercise, constant shade and fresh water. The Cane Corso’s short coat handles Mississippi’s humidity better than most large breeds. The state’s mild winters — rarely requiring any cold-weather management — give the breed comfortable outdoor time from October through April. Mississippi’s rural and suburban property sizes give a Corso the space it needs to exercise, patrol, and settle into a calm daily routine.
Our Breeding Program
- OFA health testing on all breeding pairs: hips, elbows, cardiac. Full results available
- Early Neurological Stimulation from days 3 through 16: builds confidence and adaptability for life
- Home raising from birth: real home, real people, not a kennel
- Complete documentation at placement: genetic records, OFA certs, vaccination history, health certificate
- Lifetime support: owner community, training resources, direct breeder contact
Is This Breed Right for You?
The Cane Corso is not for every household. This is a large, powerful, intelligent animal with strong protective instincts that need consistent, confident ownership. Commit early, train consistently, and treat it as a long-term project. Do that, and the return is extraordinary — a bond most dog owners never experience, loyalty that does not waver, and a dog that protects instinctively for life. First-time owners win through our program regularly, and our lifetime support exists precisely for that situation.
Worth checking before you enter:
- Mississippi Regulations: Mississippi has no statewide BSL preemption, and some municipalities have breed-specific ordinances. Several smaller communities have pit bull restrictions. The Cane Corso is not typically named. Verify with your local jurisdiction.
- HOA rules: some Mississippi communities restrict dogs by size or breed. Check your covenant.
- Young children at home: worth a conversation with us about the right introduction approach.
Frequently Asked Questions
1. How do I enter the giveaway in Mississippi?
Two ways. Mail a free postcard with your name, address, email, and phone to Flavors Cane Corso, 445 Bank Lane #148, Dover, DE 19904. One per person per month. Or shop at shopflavorscc.com to earn entries.
2. Do my entries carry over?
No. Every draw is a fresh cycle. Every month is a new opportunity.
3. Who covers transport to Mississippi?
The winner pays for transport. We handle all coordination and logistics so your puppy arrives safely.
4. Can I own a Cane Corso anywhere in Mississippi?
Mississippi allows local BSL in some municipalities. The Cane Corso is generally not targeted. Check your city’s animal control for specifics.
5. Is Mississippi’s climate too hot for a Cane Corso?
Not with proper care. Air conditioning, morning/evening exercise, shade, and fresh water are the essentials. The short coat handles humidity well. Mississippi’s mild winters mean many comfortable months of outdoor time.
